Welcome to Natural Solutions

We are contract ecologists specialising in ecological surveying, monitoring and assessment of coastal, freshwater and terrestrial environments. We are a Company based on the Coromandel Peninsula and operate mainly in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland regions.

Meg Graeme and Hamish Kendal are the Directors of Natural Solutions.

Meg has a Bachelor of Science from Waikato University (1991) and a
Masters of Science (Marine Science) from Otago University (1994).

Hamish has a Bachelor of Physical Education from Otago University (1992) and a Post Graduate Dipoloma (with Distinction) in Parks Recreation and Tourism (majoring in Ecology) from Lincoln University (1996).

Natural Solutions provides accurate ecological assessments on which sound resource management decisions can be based. We operate with high professional standards, working with clients to achieve sustainable development through ecological management in New Zealand's unique environment.

Our services involve surveying native fauna and flora values, and providing an appraisal of the historical, actual and potential effects of people and pests on these values. These services are provided to government agencies, research institutions, regional and district councils, businesses and private developers.

Our ecological assessments provide an integral part of AEE's (assessment of environmental effects) for development, subdivision, roadworks, marinas, tourist ventures, resource consent applications, reserves management, wildlife/plant management, revegetation projects, and research.
